Everyone who has been part of White Sails Chorus makes a lasting impact on us, and will always remain in our hearts and memories.
This page lets us remember some of our dear members we have loved and lost over the years.

Bev sang with Sweet Adelines for more than 45 years and left a mark on everyone she met and sang with. She was a member of Chinook Winds Show Chorus for many years. While in CWSC, she was involved in helping the performances with costuming, sound and lighting, choreography and production of performances. She was a wonderful MC with a velvet voice and dry wit that entertained audiences immensely. Bev was Musical Director from 1981 - 1989, taking CWSC to the International Arena. She was the first Championship Director of Region 26 "Sparkling New in 82". Bev was an influential, creative person, with grace in her movement and presence that left others feeling a little in awe in her presence.

When Bev moved to the Okanagan, she joined White Sails A Cappella Chorus for many years. She was a strong singer and always made new members feel welcome and looked after as they stood beside her on the risers. In 2018 Bev attended the Regional Contest with White Sails even though her health was changing and she needed some assistance that hadn't been needed before. We were honoured and humbled to have her on stage with us as an active singer in our chorus.

Bev was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2018. She continued with the same grace and grit that she had while facing all of life's challenges and, with Gerry by her side, Bev stayed at home until the last week of June 2021. She suffered a stroke at the beginning of July and passed away on July 6th, 2021

Donations to The Alzheimer’s Society Foundation, or a charity of your choice on Bev’s behalf are greatly appreciated.
