We have loved and lost some of our dear members over the years.
We made this space to acknowledge that they each had an impact on White Sails Chorus, and will always be in the hearts and memories of our singers.

Bev  was a Sweet Adeline for more than 45 years, and left a mark on everyone she met and sang with. She was a member of Chinook Winds Show Chorus for many years. While in CWSC, she was involved in all aspects connected to performing: costuming, sound and lighting, choreography and production of performances. She was a wonderful MC with a velvet voice and dry wit that entertained audiences immensely. Bev was Musical Director of the chorus from 1981 - 1989, taking CWSC to the International Arena. She was the first Championship Director of Region 26 "Sparkling New in 82". Bev was an influential, creative person, and had a grace in movement and presence that left others feeling a little in awe at her presence.

Bev moved to the Okanagan and joined White Sails A Cappella Chorus for many years. She was a strong singer and made new members feel welcome and looked after as they stood beside her on the risers. Bev went to Regional Contest with WSAC in 2018 even though she needed assistance that she hadn’t needed before. We were honoured to be able to help out and have her on stage with us.

Bev was diagnosed with Alzheimers in 2018. She continued with the same grace and grit that she had faced all of life's challenges and, with Gerry by her side, was able to stay at home until the last week of June 2021. She suffered a stroke at the beginning of July and passed away on July 6th, 2021

Donations to The Alzheimer’s Society Foundation, or a charity of your choice on Bev’s behalf are greatly appreciated.
